Celebrating the La Laguna Playground with a day of play! 

In 1965, the Laguna de San Gabriel playground was built on the last undeveloped land of Vincent Lugo Park.  Benjamin Dominguez, an artist known for his imaginative concrete structures, was the creator of the playground.  

This year's event will consist of games, family fun, entertainment and a multicultural art pop-up hosted by the Asian Youth Center. The San Gabriel Educational Foundation (SEF) will provide a fun activity and book to take home (while supplies last). Finally, the Youth Engineers for a Green Future program presented by SEF and the Southern CA Chinese American Environmental Protection Association (SCCAEPA) will be showcasing a mesocosm demonstration and a mini sand filter.
