Let the hunt begin! The City of Monterey Park Recreation & Community Services Department invites you and your family to Barnes Park to search for eggs. Thousands of eggs will be scattered throughout the field for kids to find.

When: Thursday, March 28, 2024 

Time:  4:00pm - 7:00pm

Where:  Barnes Park (350 S. McPherrin Ave., Monterey Park) 

 Egg Hunt Details - Designated times for each age group

• Little Bunnies - 0-3 years old @ 4:30 PM - 6 PM 
  • Located in Patio Area (North of Tennis/Pickleball Courts)
  • Participants for the 0-3 year-old egg hunt must obtain a ticket at the Recreation info booth. (1Ticket per child)
  • Each participant is allowed only one entrance into the 0-3 egg hunt area.
  • A maximum of 2 parents/guardians are allowed in the patio with each participant.
  • Each participant will collect up to 5 eggs that they will redeem for one prize upon exiting the egg hunt area. (Limited quantity of prizes available.)
• Big Hoppers (No adults allowed in the fenced area)
  Located in Barnes Park Field
  • 4-6 years old @ 5:00 PM 
  • 7-9 years old @ 5:45 PM
  • 10-12 years old @ 6:30 PM
• Eggs will contain prizes (candy, toys, etc.)
• Special eggs with grand prizes

Additional Activities

• City-sponsored game booths
• Pictures with Peter Rabbit
• Weekly Farmers' Market
• Food and Craft Vendors
