The Southern California News Group's Readers Choice Awards are out! We are grateful to the AUSD community and the readers of the Pasadena Star-News, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, and the Whittier Daily News for voting for Alhambra USD for Readers Choice Awards in so many categories. AUSD was named FAVORITE SCHOOL DISTRICT & BEST WORKPLACE in the San Gabriel Valley, fifteen of our schools were named FAVORITE PUBLIC SCHOOL, and the Alhambra Educational Foundation was named FAVORITE NON-PROFIT. It's almost Open House Time -- CLICK ON THE HEADLINE to download a copy of the schedule. Between mid-March and mid-May, each of our schools will host an Open House to showcase their students' learning throughout the 2022-23 school year. Please mark your calendar and look out for more information directly from your child's school as your site Open House gets closer! (Special Note to Baldwin & Marguerita School Parents: The times for your child's Open House are slightly different than what was originally published in the local papers.)

Please join us at the November 19th Board Meeting. Attend in person on CLICK ON THE HEADLINE to watch via Zoom. The public portion of the meeting will begin at 6:00pm.

The AUSD Board of Education will meet next Tuesday, November 19th. During the meeting, staff members will present two reports: (1) Overview of the High School English/Language Arts Curriculum Committee, and (2) 2024-2025 Technology Update. Community members are welcome to submit questions on these topics. The questions will be reviewed before the presentations are finalized and will also guide discussion by the board members. Our next Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting will be IN PERSON and held at the District Office on March 18th, 2024, beginning at 6:00pm. (Please note that this is a revised start time to what was shared in the last AUSD Connections Newsletter.) This meeting will be an interactive opportunity for you to provide input and feedback on the 2024-2024 LCAP Plan.
