At our next Board of Education meeting, we have a full agenda, including celebrations of some amazing teams and individuals from AHS, MKHS, SGHS, and Repetto. The public session of the April 4th Board meeting begins at 6:00pm. CLICK ON THE HEADLINE to join us via Zoom.

Out next Board of Education meeting will be Tuesday, April 4th. There are two staff reports scheduled for this meeting: (1) Board of Education Meeting Live Streaming Update and (2) Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) Trust Committee Update. The Board of Education and the Superintendent enjoy meeting with students during these informal chat sessions. Students in Gr. 6-12: CLICK ON THE HEADLINE TO join us for a session via Zoom and share what is on your mind. Middle school meetings are scheduled for November 3rd & March 23rd and high school meetings are scheduled for November 17th & March 23rd.

It's time for us to update our LCAP (Local Control and Accountability Plan)! We want to get input from ALL our stakeholders (students, staff., families, and community members). The LCAP survey is open NOW and will stay open through March 24th. Schools that receive a high percentage of responses can receive funds to purchase student incentives for the PBIS stores ($1,000 for elementary schools and $2,000 for high schools)! At the March 14th Board Meeting, three staff reports will be presented: (1) Overview of Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 6173: Education for Homeless Children, (2) Volunteering in the Alhambra Unified School District, and (3) Second Interim Financial Report 2022/2023. Congratulations to: Dr. Jennifer Huang (Instructional Coach at Ynez School) and Rosario Puentes (Campus Supervisor at Moor Field Elementary School) Both were celebrated at the January 31st Board of Education meeting. During the February 21st Board of Education meeting, there will be THREE staff reports 📑📊 presented to the Board: (1) Overview of the Process for Development of Comprehensive School Safety Plans, (2) Overview of District Implementation of BP 5127 (Summer Grads) and BP 6146 (State Graduation Requirements), and (3) Transportation Plan 2022-2024. These questions will be used by staff to guide the final contents of the reports, and by the Board members to guide discussion during the meeting.
