At the February 22nd Board of Education meeting, the Board adopted resolutions for African American/Black History Month & National PTA Founders Day. Please CLICK ON THE HEADLINE to download copies of the final signed resolutions.

You may have heard that the LA County Department of Public Health (DPH) will be modifying their health order in SOME establishments for indoor masking, beginning Friday, February 25th. Please be aware that these changes DO NOT AFFECT INDOOR MASKING AT SCHOOLS. We will notify you if there are changes to the masking requirements on school campuses. Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 104 (Gonzalez) on July 1, 2021. The bill provides for a limited process to request that high school grades earned during the 2020-21 school year be changed from a letter grade to Pass or No Pass. This process applies only to students attending high school during the 2020-21 school year, and the process must be completed before August 16, 2021. Click here to view the notification.

Our latest Game Changers are: Sophie Wang (Nurse at Mark Keppel High School and Ynez School) and Sandra Vigil (Administrative Clerk II in our Facilities Department). Sophie and Sandra will both be recognized by the AUSD Board of Education at their May 17th meeting. They will also receive a $100 check from Schools First Federal Credit Union. There will be two staff reports presented at the May 24th Board of Education meeting: (1) Overview of the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) Planning Grant and (2) 2022-2023 Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Survey Results and Plan Update.
